The
Nursery Supervisor role will be assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Geelong Community Nursey in South Geelong.

Working alongside and reporting to the Nursery Coordinator, the Nursery Supervisor will assist with the collection of seed and cuttings, propagation, help in supervising and training of supported employees, providing excellent knowledge and service in trying to improve and optimise the daily functions of the nursery.


The Nursery Supervisor will play a major role by helping ensure that the propagation and production of stock to meet customer orders is managed with a focus on quality products, on time.

Each day presents new challenges and part of the Nursery Supervisor's responsibility to use their skills and experience to find the best ways to keep everyone engaged and motivated while at work.

Full time Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm


About you :

To be successful in this role, it is a requirement that you have:

  • Min 3+ years' experience working in retail nursery sector and/or working horticultural sector
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in job well done
  • A strong team focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency when understanding the task at hand and communicating these instructions to people with different abilities
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team of people
  • Hardworking, motivated, and punctual attitude

You will also meet the following essential requirements:

  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate or willingness to obtain;
  • Current NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain;

All applicants for this role must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and meet the requirements of the genU Covid-19 Vaccination Policy.

You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccinations during the recruitment process.
