What you will do

  • Lead Customer and Business Services strategic facility planning and other functions, ensuring compliance with departmental, government and other legislative requirements. Provide effective leadership to a regionally disbursed team that manages 24 multidisciplinary facilities across the state, with a key focus on tenant and stakeholder engagement, WHS, contract management and operational activities. Manage, negotiate, and oversee delivery (including procurement) of a range of contractual arrangements including lease arrangements for external tenants and service delivery agreements for facility contractors. Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of all facility activities and/or projects and outcomes to improve and support the effective and consistent delivery of services on a statewide basis. Ensure the development, implementation and effective communication of risk management and contingency processes and procedures and ensure adherence to relative statutory and corporate compliance obligations. Provide highlevel strategic advice and information to the Director, General Manager and senior DAF executives in relation to facility operation, asset management and policy development and planning processes, to deliver on Departmental and Government priorities. Foster a culture that values ongoing excellence in performance, customer service, continuous improvement, and innovation in the delivery of highqualityservices through effective communication, ongoing training and enhanced workforce management practices. Provide strong leadership in the development and implementation of strategic and operational health, safety and wellbeing systems, activities, and programs to effectively manage Workplace, Health and Safety risk across the portfolio of sites. Manage resources (staff, budgets, assets, and infrastructure) to meet key performance targets while continually enhancing facility operational efficiency and effectiveness. Oversee the provision of capacity and continuity planning for the designated operational facilities and ensure effective change management processes are implemented as required. Build and maintain strong partnerships across DAF and other agencies in the associated management of DAF owned and leased facilities and accommodation.

Mandatory requirements

  • High level analytic, conceptual and problemsolving skills. Ability to effectively provide authoritative advice to senior and executive management using effective oral and written communication. Ability to engage, negotiate and influence to achieve organisational goals.
You may also have

  • A tertiary qualification. Practical experience in managing multiple facilities (highly desirable).
