Our client is well-known and highly regarded in the transport and logistics industry specialising in road, rail, sea and warehousing operations.
Due to growth we have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedInvoicing Officer to join their team.
As the Invoicing Officer, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective workflow and performance of the accounts department.
You will have a high attention to detail and the ability to effectively and efficiently plan, organise, prioritise and complete tasks within deadline.
The role:
- Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all required information such as product or service details, pricing, and terms, is included in the invoices.
- Ensure that supporting documentation, such as purchase orders or contracts, is properly attached to the invoices.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the invoicing process.
- Record and reconcile customer payments received against outstanding invoices.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to follow up on overdue payments and resolve payment disputes.
- Maintain clear communication with customers regarding invoicing, payment, and accountrelated inquiries.
- Conduct regular aging analysis of outstanding customer invoices to identify overdue accounts.
- Prepare reports and summaries of accounts receivable status, aging, and collections.
- Collaborate with the Credit Control team to assess credit limits and manage credit terms for customers.
- Ensure all workplace, health and safety policies and procedures are followed
About you:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar fastpaced and high volume role
- Highly motivated self starter eager to learn and adapt
- Strong ability to communicate both verbal and written
- A positive cando attitude
- Proficient with word, excel, outlook and the ability to learn and absorb new systems
- Highly organised and focused
- Reliable and eager to succeed
- Strong attention to detail
