Description
We are seeking an experienced Advisor Contracts to join client's our team and be an integral member of their delivery team.
You will be responsible for end-to-end contract management, ensuring contract performance, and mitigating commercial risks for construction packages.Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of health, safety, and environmental consciousness within the project.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts, including drafting, tender evaluation, negotiation, execution, variations, and governance.
- Create comprehensive tender packages and contract documents, facilitating a transparent and equitable commercial process.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts are aligned with terms, conditions, and commercial goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on contractrelated matters.
- Partner with engineering, delivery, and project controls teams to ensure contract objectives are met.
- Manage contract correspondence, meetings, and maintain detailed commercial records.
- Strategically assess and minimise commercial risks associated with assigned contracts.
- Evaluate claims, variations, extensions, and changes to contract terms with fairness and precision.
- Maintain uptodate and organized contract registers.
- Support Project Engineers with tasks such as quantity measurement and takeoffs.
- Ensure adherence to budget and procurement protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, cultivating effective relationships.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree qualified in Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce, Law, Construction Management or QS, highly regarded.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar commercial or contracts advisory role within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of endtoend procurement and contract management process development and implementation.
- Previous experience in contract management, procurement, purchasing, or project management.
- Strong negotiation and tender review skills.
- Familiarity with quantity surveying practices is advantageous.
- Experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar ERP systems is desirable.
