Workforce Community Navigator

Full-time 80 hours per fortnight (including ADO)

Fixed term until 30 June 2025

About the role

The core functions includes:

  • Providing local information to individuals who are interested in moving to the region. This will include information about job opportunities, childcare and schools and housing availability.
  • Connecting individuals and their families to essential services needed for relocation and settling into rural and regional areas. These might include removalists, car rental companies, accommodation agencies and schools.
  • Coordinating initiatives to help workers create social and professional connections and integrate into local communities. This will include working with local councils, businesses, sporting clubs and primary health services to arrange various activities and programs for new workers.
  • Working closely with Talent Acquisition and Mental Health Management teams to understand and maintain up to date knowledge of vacancies and high priorities for recruitment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Management, Human Recourses, community development, tourism and/or relevant experience.
  • Experience in public health and recruitment would be an advantage.
  • Experience in client/case management would be an advantage.
  • Experience in facilitating meetings, workshops and/or public events would be an advantage.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills

  • Extensive local knowledge of the Grampians region including key areas such as accommodation, employments, schools, social and community programs.
  • Understanding of local diversity issues and ability to work with people from diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of local government departments and services.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills with demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Highly skilled in accurate word processing and data entry.
  • Privacy and confidentiality: Demonstrated understanding of the principles

Work Environment

  • Ability to work in an autonomous role
  • Current Australian drivers licence and the ability to travel when required.
