We're searching for a motivated Legal Administrative Assistant
to support this company, in a permanent in-house role.


This role will provide crucial support across the team and will take ownership in providing administrative and secretarial support, as well as client management across this space.

Duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Be responsible for the delivery of administrative and paralegal support to facilitate the timely, efficient, and effective operation of the Legal Services Function and personal assistant support for the Managing Counsel
  • Work directly with internal lawyers to prepare for upcoming cases and transactions and be involved in factfinding projects
  • Manage a case file system for all ongoing and completed matters
  • Work closely with relevant business units across the organisation to ensure efficient running of the Function (e.g. ICT, Accounts Payable and Records Management)
  • Plan and organise internal and external meetings, functions and other events for members of the Legal Services Function
  • Support the daytoday delivery of legal projects through provision of administrative activities including but not limited to, research, document and record control and management, stakeholder support, production of reports and presentations etc
  • Produce reports, correspondence, presentations, spreadsheets in a timely and accurate manner
  • Act as Functional Records Officer and maintain accuracy of on and offline filing systems including appropriate archiving
  • Provide support in preparing and proofreading legal documents
  • Undertake day to day activities associated with the management of an external legal panel
  • Provide effective support in the preparation of cyclical and other business reporting requirements (e.g. KPI's, monthly and quarterly reports)
  • Undertake financial management including raising purchase orders and payment of invoices, credit card reconciliation and petty cash
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of office management
  • Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as legal management software
  • Understanding of administrative functions and office practices
  • Able to deliver high quality, professional, customer focused administrative services
  • Interest in developing legal ability and understanding
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Excellent organisation abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, and/or legal office environment
