About the Role

Civil Asset management branch provides high level maintenance, construction and asset management services for all road and related infrastructure assets (pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways and street furniture).

Continuous performance improvement through leadership and employee engagement is a critical focus of the group.

The Civil Field Worker carries out a hands-on role in delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operation of civil maintenance and construction activities.

Assist in general construction and maintenance labouring tasks associated with and including truck operations.
Meet obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act (as detailed below) and the Environmental Protection Act
Responsible for the compliant capture and secure use of public records in line with Sunshine Coast Council Records Management Policy during the conduct of daily business.

About you

As a requirement of this role, you will have a 30215 Qld - General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) - Blue Card.

You will have demonstrated written and oral communication skills along with the ability to provide on-the-job coaching.

You will possess a Current "C" class driver's licence.

You will have demonstrated physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting and bending.

Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
