John Holland is seeking a Communications, Community and Stakeholder Relations Advisor to join the MTMS team based in Mascot, NSW.


Your Role:


  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders including community, businesses, and other stakeholders to support delivery of the project
  • Provide advice and assistance to the community and where required face to face meetings regarding specific issues
  • Draft and distribute community communications in relation to construction works, impacts, etc
  • Assisting the project with communications strategies
  • Identify stakeholder, community and trader issues and develop strategies to minimise impacts.
  • Work collaboratively with the project construction team to ensure activities are undertaken strategically, minimising impact and disruption to stakeholders and the community.
  • Write a range of communication materials, including notifications, newsletters, advertising, social media posts and formal correspondence as well as coordinate residential doorknocks.
  • Communicate community and stakeholder awareness and risk minimisation programs across the Project through inductions and toolbox presentations.
  • Maintain registers and ensure community and stakeholder activities are recorded appropriately.
  • Assist in the identification, development and management of promotional opportunities for the project.

About You:


  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, ie Public Relations, Marketing
  • Minimum 2 years in community relations and stakeholder engagement in a complex environment, preferably in rail or infrastructure projects
  • Corporate communications and marketing experience including social media, print publications, design messaging and branding Excellent written and verbal communications
