About You

  • You have a current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • You have relevant tertiary management qualification and/or equivalent work experience
  • You have great leadership skills and experience. Ability to manage and support a multidisiplinary clinical team
  • Experience in partnership building and negotiation skills with a broad range of service providers including General Practitioners, NDIS, Community Managed Organisations and other health service departments
  • You have demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, with a high standard of written and verbal communication and are able to respectfully collaborate with others
  • Must have a desire to excel with your positive outlook and empathy for patients and their families/carers
  • You are open and able to receive feedback in a constructive manner and can demonstrate an ability to communicate your needs and to see out mentoring or guidance when needed

About the Role


The Manager of the Assertive Outreach Team is responsible for the management and leadership of all aspects of the community Mental Health Team, inclusive of operational and clinical line management, financial management, human resource management, activity reporting and clinical governance.

The position is responsible for ensuring that staff from the community Mental Health Team comply with professional and organisational obligations regarding:

  • Policies and procedure
  • Risk management
  • Notifications in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements

This role is suitable for:


  • Nurse Unit Manager Level
  • Includes a HP5 allowance


  • Occupational Therapist Level

  • Senior Psychologist
  • Social Worker Level 5
