People and Business Services is a Group in the Department of Transport and is responsible for providing business enabling people and corporate services functions, that drive a high-performance culture and to support integrated operations.

About the Opportunity
The Payroll Resolutions Advisor delivers end to end payroll case management and effective resolutions for DTP employees.

This position is also responsible for partnering with the internal HR teams and employees to provide end to end payroll support on resolving complex payroll issues.


  • Effectively liaise with DTP stakeholders to provide timely and effective resolution of queries that has a high level of accuracy, timeliness and quality, ensuring a positive and professional experience for all stakeholders.
  • Use Your extensive experience in enterprise/award interpretation and detailed understanding of conditions of employment including the calculation of entitlements such as redundancy and parental leave to provide solutions to customers.
  • Respond to complex customer enquiries in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of users preparing clear and concise correspondence on payroll issues with advice and recommendations for resolution.
  • Exercise independent judgement in forward planning and work scheduling for Payroll Resolutions to ensure key SLA timeframes are met.
  • Ensure data integrity in the collection and entering of data into payroll systems is maintained and is accurate to enable reporting requirements as required.

Qualifications and ExperienceDesirable

  • Prior experience working with SAP SuccessFactors or other HR platforms
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Intermediate to Advanced Excel
