About the Role:

Do you enjoy being a trusted source for managers and employees, providing advice on terms and conditions of employment and more holistically, the employment lifecycle?
We currently have an opportunity to join our close knit, professional HR Shared Services Team.

This highly valued role will see you collaborate closely with the other members of the HR Shared Services Team including our Talent Acquisition Team along with HR Business Partners and Workplace Relations where you will provide consistent, accurate and responsive technical advice to members across CFA.

Reporting to the HR Advisory Services Manager, your days will see you:

  • Responding to HR queries and providing high quality HR advice around procedures, legislation and enterprise agreements
  • Oversee the employee onboarding process and ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Champion the HR Shared Services operating model and coach managers and employees to use selfservice options where they are available
  • Participating in HR projects/working groups and embrace collaboration with P&C colleagues

About You:


Crucial to your success in this role will be your strong understanding of key areas of legislation pertaining to employment and the ability to interpret enterprise agreements and HR policies along with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work flexibly within tight timeframes and manage variable workload demands.

Naturally, you will be customer focused, highly organised, adaptable and looking to secure a stable role within an organisation that has a meaningful purpose in the community.

Further to this you will be professional, able to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and keen to identify continuous improvement opportunities to HR practices, processes and systems.

You will be joining a fast paced, rapidly changing emergency service organisation where the work you do has a direct impact on helping the community and within a team who live and breathe the CFA values.
