Chandler Macleod in partnership with our client - "A leading international food packaging specialist company" currently have exciting opportunities available for experienced Production Workers looking to take the next step in their career to become a "Line Leader".

Successful applicants will join the team based at their Truganina site.


The Role:


The Production Line Leader is responsible for coordinating the day to day operations of the line to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay during Production.

The Line Leader will oversee the production of high quality, well presented & safe products within the Production schedule requirements.

The successful applicant will also play an integral role in building the team culture.


We are ideally looking for those with 'hands on' experience working in Manufacturing (preferably FMCG) with experience in operating and troubleshooting fast-paced packaging equipment who are wanting to take the next step within a manufacturing environment and further their career.

You will be working on a two-week rotation which covers every second weekend on dayshift.

The duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Organise optimal staffing levels to fulfil Production plans.
  • Monitor performance of team and improve levels of output.
  • Clear and accurate communication with team around Production requirements.
  • Follow Production Plan to specification within timeframes,
  • Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends.
  • Follow through with the communication for any maintenance, IT or other issues to ensure flow of work on the line.

The Applicant:

  • MUST be comfortable to work with all meat products
  • Beef, Pork and Lamb and be happy to work in a cold storage environment for the duration of the shifts
  • Proven experience in a "hands on" role within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Computer skills.
  • Experience with automated machines in a Manufacturing industry desirable but not essential
  • Able to problem solve at pace.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • High work ethic and solid work history.
  • You will be a strong team player willing to help others achieve a common goal with a desire to produce great products.
