JP Recruitment is seeking a Trades Assistant for a permanent position based in Hazelmere in a modern and clean manufacturing facility.

This outstanding opportunity is with a multinational company that manufactures a leading brand of steel water storage products.

This key role supports the fabrication and process teams with materials used in the manufacturing process involving using a bandsaw or drop saw to cut lengths of steel and angle iron to size, loading these up into a supply trolley and then taking these into the fabrication shop for the welders.

You will use a variety of hand/power tools and the role will include a lot of manual handling, machine operation and good communication skills are needed so you can liaise with other team members.

The working hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 6:00am to 12:30pm on Fridays - e
arly knock off on Fridays.

This position is paying $30.10/hr plus penalties for overtime.

Fit and able to do heavy lifting and pushing of supply trolleys up to 60KG with steel for welders.
Some factory/workshop manufacturing experience
Machine operating or hand & power tool experience
Able to communicate effectively and work within a team
Forklift license is essential for this role.

You must be reliable and able to get to Hazelmere for a 6am start.
