Banyule City Council is hiring an IT Service Desk Team Leader
to play a key role in the IT Applications, Infrastructure and Operations team.

IT and Digital Transformation maintains Council's knowledge, information and business systems. The Information Technology Service Unit (IT) is responsible for the provision, development, and ongoing support of Council's information technology resources.

About the role:

To manage the IT service desk team

To deliver professional, friendly and responsive IT customer service, training and communication for all internal and external customers

To improve and enhance technical knowledge of customers:

To ensure sound professional advice to customers

Skills, experience and certificates:

-
Relevant tertiary qualification in Computing or IT or minimum 3 years' experience in a Team Leader service desk environment:

-
Extensive experience in responding to customer needs in a fast paced IT Service desk environment
:

-
ITIL certified and other industry certifications:

-
Experience in managing a team of professionals:

-
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues to resolution:

-
Strong PC support skills and knowledge of relevant software and operating systems:

-
Ability to manage time, plan and organise work including prioritising of jobs with consideration of business impact:

-
Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with all internal and external clients and stakeholders:

-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
