About the Role:
As a Contracts Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to plan, develop, and establish contracts for the procurement of goods, works, and services, including capital works projects.
- Provide contract planning advice for business cases.
- Ensure business cases meet procurement planning needs.
- End to end tender management.
- Resolve commercial and contractual issues.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and contractors on contractual matters.
- Develop negotiation strategies for contracts.
- Provide a comprehensive procurement service for capital works projects.
- Utilise eProcurement/SRM for contract management.
- Prepare and publish bid documentation.
- Assist vendors in submitting bids.
- Assist "end users" with eProcurement inquiries.
- Assess bids and create contracts in SRM.
- Comply with relevant legislation, corporate policy, and ethical standards.
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
- Degree or tertiary qualifications in a relevant field eg: Business, Commerce, Law, Engineering or Supply Chain.
- Min 7 years' experience in procurement and contracting.
- Extensive experience in contract development and management.
- Knowledge of contract law.
- Experience in contract negotiation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to negotiate, influence and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
