Salary range $95, $111,338.76 per annum

Plus 10.5% Superannuation dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications

The Opportunity

The position of Coordinator Economic Development actively coordinates the business functions associated with Economic Development in consultation with the Executive Manager Strategic Outcomes.


The position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance local and regional economic development and implementing initiatives that support local businesses.

About You
Leading the development and implementation of Council's key strategies to support and enhance economic development in the Shire.

Assist the Executive Manager of Strategic Outcomes to Identify and develop funding strategies and options to deliver priority plans and strategies that support local businesses and economic development in the Shire.

Prepare and manage submissions, and provide accurate advice, analysis and reporting to Council to support evidence-based project planning, formulation of recommendations and decision making.

Monitor and review financial budgets to identify and report variations and amended forecasts to the Executive Manager Strategic Outcomes.

Engage and consult with business, the community and stakeholders to identify their requirements and use this information to guide strategy, policy, plans and action.

Promote the positive and collaborative culture and values of the organisation through open, fair and transparent decision making and ethical, professional behaviour.

Work in collaboration with and assist the team, manager and other key stakeholders to achieve business unit goals, work requests, demands and Council priorities.

Provide active leadership, mentoring and coaching to members of the team.

Manage and develop end to end responses to internal and external customers ensuring a culture of cooperation with all Branches of Council is promoted and projected and meets or exceeds established and adopted customer service standards.
