Our Journey:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
Dandenong Hospital Support Services department is seeking an Environmental Services Assistant for join the permanent night shift theatre cleaning team.
You will be an integral part of maintaining strict infection control standards in our Operating Theatre complex and Sterilising Services Unit.
Shifts
Environmental Services Assistant - Theatre
Permanent Night Duty
On the 4 week roster - shifts are on week 2 and 4 only
Week 2
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Week 4
Monday and Tuesday
- (20 hours per fortnight)_

A Day in the Life:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Environmental cleaning
- Cleaning eight operating theatres
- Cleaning of floors surfaces
- Cleaning stairwells, windows, window ledges and other surfaces.
- Bathroom and toilet cleaning
- Project and unscheduled cleaning
- Internal and external detailed cleaning
- Waste segregation and removal / transport to man loading dock
On a Personal Level:
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Holds a strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
What you Need:
- Certificate III Cleaning Services (_Desirable_)
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
