Compliance Officer
- _Salary:_ _$91,418 to $103,725 (Plus Superannuation)_

- _Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)_
- _Usual work location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (flexibility may be available)_


The Compliance Officer is responsible for assisting the development, implementation and support of the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) financial assurance activities including internal control and compliance frameworks, financial policies, procedures and compliance activities.

This role provides financial compliance advice and implements strategies to continuously improve DJSIR's internal control mechanisms.


The position forms a part of the Financial and Property Services branch which is responsible for providing a full range of accounts payable, accounts receivable, accommodation, facilities, fleet, travel, environment, and mail services.


  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of compliance monitoring framework in line with the _Financial Management Act 1994, _accounting standards, Standing Directions and DTF financial reporting guidance,
  • Provision of compliance advice, and support delivery of compliance activities and reporting,
  • Contributing to the provision of financial analysis and advice on complex accounting and assurance policies, transactions, concepts and issues to senior management.
  • Contributing to and support the preparation of annual and monthly reporting and associated activities underpinning the annual financial statements. Contribute to increasing the effectiveness, efficiency and financial management capability across the Department.
A degree in Finance or Accounting is a mandatory requirement to be eligible for this position.
