Located in Penrith, St Nicholas of Myra was established in 1852 and is the oldest of three primary schools in the area.

With our strong focus on seeking truth through learning, St Nicholas of Myra students are engaged and excited learners who are challenged to think critically.


We are close to main transport links being 5 minutes from the M4 and a 10-minute walk from Penrith Railway Station.


We are a school with a diverse mix of cultural groups that are closely connected to our families and Parish community.

Being a small school allows us to know all our children and families, so we can tailor our response to their evolving needs.

A typical day will include:

  • Promoting meaningful and ageappropriate learning for all students
  • Maintaining safe and inclusive learning environments and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans
  • Work collaboratively to plan and implement school programs with a diversity perspective
  • Assist the classroom teacher in identifying and prioritising vulnerable students
  • Work collaboratively within the learning space to build the capacity of students to participate and succeed in regular classroom activities
  • Assist with the delivery of professional learning opportunities for all staff in their field of expertise
  • Overseeing the Personal Planning Process
  • English Language Acquisition and Development work

About you:
To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of St Nicholas of Myra along with:

  • Reading Recovery and Emu Training
  • Tertiary Qualifications are highly regarded but not essential
  • Statements of Service
  • Working with Children Check clearance
