We are looking for a dedicated Data Analyst in the Treasury - Data Quality & Controls team within Banking and Financial Services group.

The role is supporting data quality management and uplift for regulatory reporting, compliance and customer service purposes.


This role involves working with the team and internal stakeholders to investigate, analyse and remediate data quality issues across all BFS banking products.


Reporting to the Lead Data Steward, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Liaise with business stakeholders to determine requirements, and translate into data specifications
  • Undertake data extraction, analysis and investigation into possible data quality issues
  • Log issues for tracking purposes, and update status throughout the data issue lifecycle
  • Undertake impact analysis against reporting obligations
  • Escalate problems to management and governance teams
  • Prepare data for remediation purposes with product and operational teams
  • Request data changes in source systems for remediation purposes
  • Understand data sharing obligations and risk of breaches
  • Validate assumptions used to derive / transform data
  • Perform 'reasonability' checks of financial and nonfinancial data as it pertains to regulatory reporting
