Job description:

A 6-month contract role with intent to extend with a large media organisation with offices in the Sydney CBD (Ultimo).

Work will be hybrid in-office and WFH. Due to the face-to-face nature of the role it will not be a consistent schedule (eg. not 3 days in, 2 days WFH) but rather more likely be 2 weeks in-office, 1 week hybrid as it will depend on the demand of the project.

As a Desktop Technician you will take the lead with commissioning new workspaces as the organisation transitions to flexible working.

This role will require travel to both Melbourne and Perth (approximately 1 week each during the initial 6 months).

Your responsibilities will include:

Work as the technical lead for deploying new hardware to workspaces nationally. You will deliver key projects while working with a variety of IT and project stakeholders
Create artefacts and processes ensuring the seamless handover to BAU teams
Ensure all work is completed ontime and in a sufficient and compliant manner
Guide other members of the team when needed

To be successful, your CV should mention as much of the following as possible:

Previous experience leading similar projects for large, enterprise organisations
Experience in the following technologies
Enduser hardware (laptops, desktops, monitors, webcams, keyboard) and associated management such as driver/firmware deployment
End User Operating Systems (MacOS and Windows)
Device fleet management including MS Endpoint Manager and JAMF Cloud
Ideally experience w/ JAMF Cloud (Apple's new management tool) not required
JAMF Cloud training will be given due to how new it is to the market but some previous experience with Apple will required as this is part of the IT fleet
Demonstrated understanding of IT asset management concepts such as:
Commissioning and Decomissioning
Asset management platforms (ServiceNow)
Asset Lifecycle Management
Effective stakeholder management and time management skills
