The People and Culture Senior Advisor is accountable for the provision of high quality

operational and strategic human resources services to achieve organisational outcomes

through an engaged and enabled workforce.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Business partner with the Education, Training & Research and GHA/IT directorates with
regard to human resources and employee relations input, advice and guidance to
optimise effective organisational operations to establish and ensure a sustainable
alignment with the respective directorates.

  • Support the management of industrial relations issues and the relationships with unions
and their representatives, aimed at ensuring optimal outcomes for all parties and the
minimisation of industrial relations impacts on the organisation.

  • Provide leadership in award interpretation and provide advice and guidance to
management and staff on a broad range of human resources issues.

  • Support the planning, development and delivery of leadership training and development
programs across the organisation to ensure that LRH's current and emerging leaders
are trained and developed appropriately to execute their job requirements and deliver
organisational outcomes.

  • Deliver organisational and P&C programs and projects as directed by the People &
Culture Manager.


About you:


  • Demonstrated experience and skills in the coordination of industrial relations, employee
relations and leadership development.

  • Demonstrated experience in providing human resources support for organisational line
managers.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution and
negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated people management skills with a proven ability to lead and develop.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, EBAs and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and provide advice, support
and guidance.
