Description

To pro-actively lead the operational goals and incremental growth of the Systems & Software (SYSS) LifeCycle Services business, for the assigned Emerson ANZ region.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the relevant regional Systems and Software (SYSS) LifeCycle Services business in terms of:
  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Ethical Business Conduct
  • Ensure that operational effectiveness goals are maintained and reported regularly
  • SYSS KOB3 Business Profitability
  • Ensure financial recovery timelines are achieved
  • Proper resource planning such that customer satisfaction and quality of service delivery is maintained
  • Monitor and identify trends in the service team to drive efficiency gains
  • Proactively manage the LCS WA team, including resource assignment, team engagement and conflict resolution
  • Motivate, coach, mentor, develop and educate the team working within the SYSS LifeCycle Services team WA-NT.
  • Assist with recruitment and other associated HR activities
  • LifeCycle Services business forecasting input to the ANZ Lifecycle Services Operations Manager
  • Develop effective, longterm relationships/alliances with key people from within the SYSS installed base
  • Attend regular key SYSS divisional meetings to discuss business trends, financial considerations, and budget reviews
  • Ensure submission of all invoicing requests is completed immediately following service delivery
  • Responsible for effective service delivery solutions for the LifeCycle Services business which meet customer needs and are consistent with organisational goals and strategies
  • Support the internal administration group to deliver accurate record keeping and auditability
  • Work alongside the regional SYSS Project Engineering structure to ensure business goals are adequately supported
  • Deal with account issues outside the scope of the Sales Engineer/Branch Manager
  • Provide SYSS management representation at customer sites
  • Support SYSS divisional and greater Emerson Process Management ANZ organisational strategies and activities to assist the sales force in achieving divisional budgets:
  • Installed base business development/growth via additional and expanded engineering support services
  • Close liaison with Regional KOB2/3 Sales Lead in order for the region to achieve growth targets for the service business
  • Close liaison with Reliability Solutions group to grow these support services

Health Safety & Environmental Requirements
- _Have or gain a working knowledge of current HSE statutory and corporate expectations and their implications. _
- _Have or gain a working knowledge of business and departmental HSE risks and their control measures. _
- _Have or gain a working knowledge of HSE risk management techniques. _
- _Provide exemplary leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental performance. _
- _To communicate HSE expectations to subordinates and contractors so they are known and complied with. _
- _Monitor HSE performance of work activities. _


Skills / Experience Required:


  • Sales and Operations Management experience
  • Degree qualified in an engineering related discipline or technical qualification with extensive industry experience
  • Extensive experience and technically competent in the delivery of control systems service
  • Experience building, managing, and maintaining effective, high level business relationships with customers
  • Strong Commercial Awareness and an understanding of what Drives a Service Business
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with key senior people the SYSS installed base
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
  • Welldeveloped Negotiation skills
  • Effective Team Building Skills
  • Conflict management
