Work in a world renowned large Tertiary teaching hospital providing a large comprehensive Anatomical Pathology service

  • The Anatomical Pathology department is a NATA and RCPA accredited laboratory which provides a wide range of Histopathology and Cytopathology testing, participation in multidisciplinary meetings, teaching and training activities, pathology registrar training, research activities, including tissue banking and deceased patient management.
  • We are looking for Medical Laboratory Technicians to work in our Anatomical Pathology department, providing support within our mortuary services.

Your new role:


  • Provide deceased patient management within the hospital.
  • Perform Anatomical Pathology administrative duties and manage laboratory data.
  • Assist with laboratory stock control and manage laboratory waste.

About you:


  • You have previous experience in a public healthcare service and/or diagnostic Pathology laboratory.
  • You have good prioritisation and problemsolving skills, with the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • You demonstrate great communication skills and work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • You are comfortable working with Information Technology including managing spreadsheets and databases.

The new model for delivering public pathology services will present an exciting opportunity to improve the scope, scale and reach of pathology services and testing capability to all Victorians._
