Project Co-ordinator / Scheduler
Our Client, based in Adelaide's western suburbs, is looking for a Project Co-ordinator. This position has come about due to continued growth.

in the specialised services they offer to the construction industry that has a fantastic blend to be able to work from office and home.


With many years' experience supplying quality services to the construction industry this is a great opportunity to join an established organisation with your knowledge of one or more of the following trades: mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, industrial or other related to the areas of project scheduling, systems ,planning & co-ordinating.

Some of the services they offer include: specialty protective coatings, floor treatments, heritage restoration, waterproofing / water seepage control, passive fire protection, industrial grouting, and concrete repairs, just to name a few.


About the role
You will have the opportunity to evolve in this role over time, the responsibilities will include:

  • Communicate with potential and existing clients and suppliers on project scheduling requirements
  • Coordination information for job packs
  • Record information accurately
  • Ability to interpret and compile how to specifications.
  • Daily diary coordination
  • ITP's preparation to ensure quality of projects.
  • Clearly concisely communicate requirements both on job site and in person
  • Quality Control
  • Reading of plans & contracts
  • Data input of information
  • Talk to builders and tradies.
  • Enter new quotes into job number register.
  • Record Draft quotes and tenders / proposals etc for approval by Managing Director and submit, as required.
  • Utilising different technologies
  • Understand the scope of tender documents to ensure all requirements are captured when pricing.
  • Input of data, primarily using MS Word and Excel
  • Assist Works Supervisor / Site Supervisors to develop and implement individual work plans for each project.
  • Provide advice on project scheduling to employees as required.
  • Determine legislative requirements for the work activity or trade.
  • Conduct incident, material failure investigations as required.
  • Build solid relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
  • Communicate with Works Supervisor / Site Supervisors on project administration matters.
  • Be a part of QHSE inspections and ensure recommendations are completed and recorded using standard company documents.

Who You Are

  • You are a dedicated Project Coordinator, Project Scheduler or Systems Coordinator or Planner with outstanding Construction/ or engineering Industry knowledge.
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and are well presented.
  • You are easy to work with and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
  • You have 3+ years' experience in a related field within the construction, trade and / or engineering industries.
  • You are computer literate with intermediate to advanced skills using MS Word Project and Excel, this may include any other relevant construction Industry software.
  • Advantage is the ability to read drawings for example AutoCAD
  • You have a demonstrated ability to foster existing relationships and build new.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, schedule plan at different stages of Construction process.
  • You are committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and driving internal initiatives to achieve those outcomes: you are proactive in your approach to project & systems planning.
  • You have experience in recording quotes and tenders / proposals and managing the planning process.
  • You have a proven trackrecord in coordinating client relationships and expectations and an aptitude for technical understanding.
  • You are an Australian citizen and have the right to work in Australia plus have your own reliable transport.
  • You are a problem solver who can work autonomously and have a demonstrated ability to compile project scheduling requirements.
  • You have a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • You have the ability to work from office or home.

Salary:
$70, $100,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Plympton SA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
