About the Role


This full time, permanent position is based at our new, purpose-built site in Brooklyn Park, with travel to other metropolitan sites as required.

The focus of this role is to implement and maintain Bedford's current Food Safety Management Plan and to conduct regular training sessions with staff, ensuring our Hospitality operations run at the forefront of industry standards.


Responsibilities include:

  • Management of the Bedford Group Food Safety Management Plan
  • Delivery of food safety and awareness initiatives
  • Regulate and monitor internal practice and preparation for external auditing
  • Update and carry out food safety and HACCP training programs
  • Maintain accurate data records
  • Environmental impact reporting
  • Actively participate in the issue resolution process

About You


As an experienced and motivated food safety and quality assurance professional you will have a keen interest in keeping abreast of standards and industry best practices, creating innovative solutions to develop Bedford as an industry leader.

You will also be confident to develop and deliver training programs to share your knowledge with a range of internal stakeholders.


Essential skills and qualities include:

  • Experience in large scale FMCG / food production operations
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • WHS knowledge
  • Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of HACCP CODEX Alimentarius 2020 and ISO 900
  • Basic financial understanding


For this role the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford Phoenix Incorporated.


  • A National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months)
  • Driver's licence
  • NDIS worker screening clearance
  • Working with Children clearance
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
  • Evidence of FULL vaccination with a TGAapproved COVID19 vaccine or an acceptable exemption*
