An exciting opportunity has become available within the Governance and Assurance team at Swinburne University of Technology, for an Administration and Executives Support Officer.

This is a key role, which not only provides administration and support to the Governance and Assurance team, but also provides executive support to the university Chancellor.


The successful applicant will be experienced in providing support with projects, administration, finance work, problem solving and learning new software to support the Governance and Assurance team.

Executive support provided to the Chancellor will include calendar management, preparation of documents and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support the Chancellor.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to administer processes and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret procedures and work instructions and relate them to the relevant tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems including adapting work practices
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills including the ability to plan ahead, ability to work under pressure, prioritise multiple tasks and display thoroughness, sound judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to follow tasks through to completion
  • Proven ability to consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications and experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
