About the opportunity


We continue to grow at Detmold Group and we're now looking for a Freight Coordinator to join our logistics and warehouse team at Regency Park, South Australia on a
12-month maximum term contract basis.


As part of a newly formed, collaborative team, you will take ownership of end-to-end import and export requirements and act as the main point of contact for all international freight movements in your portfolio.


You'll enjoy working in a team where no two days are the same There are opportunities to liaise with people across our business and externally; both locally and internationally.


Of particular importance are your exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering on our promise of quality service and efficiency to our customers.


In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Coordinate international freight movements, ensuring on time dispatch to meet all offshore branches and export country requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation is prepared and provided to clearing agent prior to arrival.
  • Maintain compliance with Trusted Trader, Customs & Chain of Custody requirements.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and proactively communicate shipment details to customers, updating on delays.
  • Maintain accurate import/export data and records using nominated software.
  • Ensure all PO receipting activities are completed.
  • Ensure invoice accuracy from forwarders & correct allocation with accounts payable
  • Champion safety first behaviors and the Detmold Way values in all that you do.

About you

What you'll need:

  • Experience in similar, high volume warehouse environment
  • An indepth knowledge of distribution and shipping methods
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • A strong safety focus
  • Experience with warehouse management and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • The ability to analyse and leverage data
  • Accurate data entry skills
