Full-time (35 hours), 12-month fixed term contract

A rare opportunity has become available to join one of Newcastle's leading employers of choice, Hunter Water Corporation.

Providing hundreds of jobs for locals, they now have an opportunity for an administration professional to join their Procurement and Tending team.


This is a full-time (35 hours a week) role which will be on an initial 12-month fixed term contract, based in their Newcastle office (with flexible working arrangements available).


You'll be responsible for:


  • Manage and coordinate the endtoend tender lifecycle
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders and build strong relationships
  • Prepare tender documents for release to the market
  • Maintain and update all supplier records, ensuring compliance is met
  • Assist with reviewing and developing documents as required
  • Research and evaluate prospective suppliers
  • Support the wider Commercial & Procurement Group with administration duties

Essentially, you'll have:


  • Experience with coordination and a solid background of administration
  • An understanding of the tendering process is highly desirable
  • Ability to build rapport easily with others and skilfully negotiate
  • Capable of problem solving and making timely decisions
  • A dynamic personality and a proactive attitude with a continuous improvement view
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated proficiency with systems and the MS Office Suite
