The Peer Work Coordinator will work within the Orygen Digital team, coordinating and advocating for the peer work program as part of the 'Moderated Online Social Therapy' (MOST) platform rollout.

Reporting to the Senior Clinician - Supervisor you will:

  • Coordinate the peer work integration on Orygen Digital's MOST platform and oversee the daily operations of the Peer Work program including shift supervision, risk escalation, community moderation.
  • Coordinate the workflow and engagement with young people in 11 chats with peer workers, supporting timely responses in the community.
  • Participate in the development of a peer support model that is in line with best practice for peer support.
  • Support peer workers to use their lived experience to create a safe and supportive youth only space in the over 15's platform and to work alongside clinicians as peer work mentors on the under 15's platform generating messages of hope and recovery and supporting challenging discussions about mental ill health.

The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:


  • Tertiary qualifications in youth work or a related field and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 12 months experience providing peer work in a youth mental health setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with a wide range of stakeholders including young people and youth service providers.
