Your new role
In this role you will be key to implementing and evaluating the Materials Management Framework, which will streamline the entire lifecycle of hazardous materials, from purchase to disposal.
Working closely with the Hazardous Materials Technical Advisory Group, you will play a vital role in embedding this framework throughout the university.
As an integral part of our team, you will have the chance to engage with key stakeholders and ensure the successful implementation of the Materials Management Framework.
Your responsibilities will include conducting stakeholder consultations, integrating recommendations with the Procurement and Finance departments, reviewing and optimizing the best price systems, and implementing actions agreed upon through stakeholder consensus.
You will be working with a wide range of materials, including chemicals, biological substances, and radioactive or radiation-emitting materials.We value innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.

To thrive in this role, you should be an effective written communicator with a demonstrated background in hazardous materials management or related fields such as process safety, risk assessment, or environmental engineering.
While a Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related fields such as Chemistry, Materials Management, or Materials Science is preferred, we also value hands-on experience and a strong commitment to continuous learning.
