The Digital Health - Health Information Manager (HIM) is crucial for providing support and guidance in the governance and management of Digital Health health information across Western Health, which is vital for the delivery of high-quality healthcare while complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
A significant portion of this role involves leading the Mental Health and Wellbeing Services within Western Health to facilitate business transformation and change associated with implementing an EMR.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold a Bachelor of Health Information Management, or equivalent
- Be eligible for membership of Health Information Management Association of Australia
- Show demonstrated active listening, problem solving with strong analytical and decisionmaking abilities.
- Have highly developed organisational skills and experience working in a high volume demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise, multitask, achieve business goals and perform in patient centred approach team environment.
- Have experience in health information systems and processes, including understanding the collection and reporting of health datasets to the State and Commonwealth, in particular Mental Health
- Have demonstrated experience in data analysis, monitoring and integrity mental health services evaluation, statistical analysis and database management
- Have demonstrated experience in or demonstrated understanding of clinical classification of bedbased episodes using ICD 10AM; understanding of the Victorian Admitted Episodes Dataset (VAED) and casemix data
- Have demonstrated experience collaborating with internal and external professionals and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
