POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE START OR JAN 2024
At Little Lights, we prioritize a warm, loving, family-friendly work culture and provide excellent career growth opportunities. Our childcare centre focuses on educating children through various methods, including daily Bible teachings.


What is a Traineeship?

  • Legal Requirements to work in childcare is to have a certificate in early childhood or start studying your traineeship. Please note, if your not willing to start studying, then you legally can't work in child care.
  • You work 38hr shifts, whilst completing your study booklets
  • Your teacher visits you at work and checks your booklets (no need to go to college/Tafe)
  • We will sign you up with our college
  • 1.5 year course
  • Course: Easy-Moderate Study
  • When Cert 3 is completed your wage starts at $27hr +
  • Ability to continue to study Diploma after Cert 3 with a wage $29hr +

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Daily teaching of the Bible and Christianity
  • Praying with children at various times including meal times
  • Teaching children basic Education
  • Documenting children development
  • Regular childcare duties

Qualifications and Experience


If you feel that you are unsure if you have enough experience, we still recommend you apply, as we can help build on your skills with in house training.

  • Experience looking after children
  • Basic Bible knowledge and understanding to teach Christianity.
  • Sunday school, children ministry teaching experience is a bonus
  • Can use basic tools on Tablets and computer

Full Time Positions preferred/Part time may be considered.

  • Mon-Fri : 5 days a week
  • Roster changes and ranges between times 7:30am6:00 pm
