***: The Digital Engagement Lead is a key member of the Digital Marketing Team which provides strategic and tactical advice on improving customer experience and operationalising the department's communication strategy. The team uses insights and a deep understanding of channels to decide where the messages need to go, how the messages should be delivered, and the digital technology that is needed to make this happen.


This role is the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders for web related issues and builds relationships across the department, identifying opportunities to support strategic objectives on our channels.


They work closely with business and technology experts to drive the ongoing improvement of the department's digital presences and content, including functionality and user experience.


The role works closely with the Content Strategist and Content and Publishing Team to ensure strategic, coordinated and effective shaping of content across our digital channels and channel architecture.


Accountabilities

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage a broad range of stakeholder requests across a complex organisation and negotiate, influence and resolve competing views to achieve strategic aims in line with departmental priorities and bestpractice digital solutions.
  • Provide timely expert advice and develop open and effective website engagement strategies.
  • Manage a range of research projects to inform priority projects.
  • Improve the user experience of our websites.
  • Build relationships across the department, identifying opportunities and efficiencies to support strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the communications services in the department.
  • Manage relationships and interdependencies with other content roles.
  • Maintain knowledge of the broader services provided by Digital Marketing including new initiatives and services in digital media, and developing policies and processes associated with digital media.
  • Keep uptodate with industry best practice.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
