- Provide high-level policy and strategic advice to senior management and the Minister on invasive species, biosecurity and related matters, including preparing ministerial briefs, submissions and correspondence;
- Undertake high-level communication, negotiation, representation and liaison with Commonwealth, state and territory governments and other key stakeholders;
- Provide policy advice to, and perform secretariat functions for, biosecurity committees convened by EPSDD.
