Six Month Fixed Term Contract Recruitment Officer

Are you up for a challenging role in the Human Resources Department? We are seeking a highly motivated individual with recruitment experience, excellent communication and administrative skills, and a desire to learn and improve.

As part of a small recruitment team, you will be responsible for a range of recruitment activities in a fast-paced blue-collar environment at Harvey Beef.

This is an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level and be mentored towards a career pathway in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

Alongside current recruitment officers ensure all endtoend recruitment needs are met at the Harvey Beef site for production employees.
Daily review of all applicants from advertising platforms and reporting of progress
Ensure all onboarding and offboarding requirements are met, including checking work rights, booking preemployment medicals and preparing for inductions.
Maintain uptodate knowledge of labour legislation, implementing required changes to keep company recruitment processes compliant.
Act as a single point of contact for managers regarding recruitment topics
Participate in job fairs and career events
Develop and maintain advertising and new opportunities to recruit talent across the business

Selection Criteria

Previous exposure to highvolume recruitment (Desirable)
Fastthinking, energetic and motivated
Have a broad understanding of a range of HR functions
Able to manage a hiring process to ensure the staffing needs of an organisation are fully met at all times
Meat Industry experience would be an advantage
Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products
Experience in working with different visa streams would be an advantage
