The Opportunity


As the Regional Administration Coordinator for our hospital network, you will be responsible for leading the investigation, development, and implementation of nationally consistent revenue cycle administration processes and education to achieve operational excellence, optimise revenue capture, and improve cash collections.

This role will have direct line responsibility for a regional administration support team.


About You


To succeed in this role, you must be a self-directed individual with a high level of expertise and knowledge in all aspects of hospital administration.

Your ability to communicate effectively and build interpersonal relationships will be essential in engaging, collaborating, and forming partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders across both corporate and hospital networks.


About The Team


The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team plays a vital role in ensuring the precise, timely, and efficient collection of revenue from the moment a patient encounter or service is initiated until the final payment is received.

They oversee various operational tasks, including insurance coverage verification, hospital admissions, charge capture, accurate service coding, adherence to contractual business rules, claim submissions to payors, and diligent follow-up on outstanding accounts.


Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:

  • Provide direction, leadership and mentoring to Administration Support Officers, ensuring cohesion.
  • Set standards, targets, and objectives, coordinating work plans to measure success.
  • Foster a work environment encouraging collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement organizational changes, with a focus on positive outcomes and mínimal disruptions.
  • Develop clear communication plans for stakeholders maintaining transparency through the change process.
  • Define and document processes, policies, guidelines, and SOPs for national consistency and alignment with industry best practices.
  • Evaluate existing business processes for standardisation, automation, and digitisation opportunities.
  • Design and implement education and training programs to enhance the hospitals skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate workshops, working groups, administration team discussions and engagement activities prompting feedback and active involvement in work practices.

Your Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in hospital administration management.
  • Demonstrated skill in active listening, with the capacity to comprehend nuances, ask insightful questions, and provide thoughtful responses during verbal exchanges.
  • Ability to systematically analyse complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, implement appropriate solutions, and prioritise.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, incorporating feedback loops, and refining change strategies based on lessons learned.
  • Proven capability in developing and delivering engaging and impactful presentations, utilising appropriate visual aids and interactive elements to enhance understanding.
  • Experience in leading managing a high performing team.
  • Ability to work autonomously, within a multidisciplinary team, collaboratively with stakeholders and to tight deadlines.

Desirable but not essential

  • Previous experience with project management or change management.
  • Certification in process improvement or a tertiary qualification in business, commence or health.
  • Previous experience with Meditech (PAS).
