As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are seeking a dynamic Fleet Manager to lead our fleet management services and contribute to our strategic and operational goals.
Position Overview:
As the Fleet Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and implementing our organizational fleet management strategy.
Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager Assets, you will oversee the transition from a fully owned fleet to a fully leased fleet, while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality in fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the outsourced fleet provider contract to optimize fleet utilization.
- Overseeing daily fleet operations, including administration of the pool booking system, fuel card management, reporting, and processing traffic infringements and insurance claims.
- Controlling operating costs to enhance fleet costeffectiveness.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Establishing and maintaining a catalogue of commercial fleet vehicle products and services.
- Designing, implementing, and managing contracts, systems, processes, policies, and procedures related to fleet management.
- Handling internal and external fleetrelated inquiries and issue escalations.
- Coordinating the implementation of fleet safety initiatives to reduce insurance premiums.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Proven experience in fleet management or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to optimize fleet utilization and control costs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement fleet management strategies and initiatives.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in fleet management.
