About Us

The National Security College (NSC) is a joint venture between the ANU and the Australian Government and sits within the Crawford School of Public Policy, College of Asia and the Pacific at the ANU.

The NSC aims to lift security capabilities and foster communities of practice through executive and professional development, academic teaching and research, futures analysis, policy engagement, dialogue and outreach.

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join the National Security College. The Executive Officer is responsible to the Head of College and actively supports their work.

Working under broad direction, the Executive Officer provides high-level advice and administrative support to the Head of College and is expected to build and maintain effective and confidential working relationships with senior University and College staff, external agencies and visitors.

This position is a Continuing (Contingent Funded) appointment with an end date of 31 December 2025.

You will be expected to be able to work both independently and under direction and you will need to be able to develop and maintain trusted networks across the Australian Public Service, within the NSC and with the broader ANU community.
