KPMG's Climate Change & Sustainability service is focused on assisting a wide variety of Australian and International clients to understand and optimise their organisational response to the risks and opportunities of climate change, carbon management and emission reduction.

**Job Description

**We work with leading organisations across industry sectors and cover a wide range of exciting areas, including: - Carbon Markets, projects, offsets, as well as carbon pricing

  • Physical climate risk assessment including mitigation and risk management opportunities
  • Transitional climaterelated risk and opportunity assessments and effective use of scenario analysis
  • Assisting clients to understand and improve climaterelated disclosure against the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
  • Integrating climate change strategy into sustainability, organisational risk management and strategic processes
  • Development of innovative and practical recommendations to manage risks and maximise opportunities
  • Managing and reporting on climate, carbon and GHG data and developing key performance indicators
  • Helping clients to establish their GHGreduction goals and a pathway to achieving them
  • Assisting both government and the private sector develop effective responses to climate change, including policies, guidelines and effective stakeholder engagement and management.


We work with organisations across various sectors, including infrastructure, government, mining, power and utilities, energy, oil and gas and retail.


In response to growing client demand for our services, there is an exciting opportunity for a carbon market professional to join our team in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.


Your new role:
This role takes guidance from the Director or Partner in the execution of work activities on engagements.

Provides input and contributes to the planning and delivery of engagements including work plans, timelines, project management, resource allocation and career development of others.

Takes responsibility on projects or engagements below management and works with less experienced team members, including directing and reviewing the work outputs and assisting with training as necessary.

You bring to the role:

  • Knowledge of carbon related products and processes across carbon offsets, credits,
methodologies and carbon markets in Australia and globally

  • Approximately 10 to 15 years of demonstrated experience in carbon or / GHG aligned activities these could be across reporting, project development and execution, policy, auditing and advisory, risk and/or program management.
