Project Officer to work for one of our NSW Government clients based in **Surry Hills

  • Sydney CBD
    . This position is a 12month contract
    working on a Transformation Project. This position will be paying a daily rate between $ ** per day plus superannuation.

Purpose

This role comprises the provision of administrative and day-to-day support for the efficient and effective operation of project activities & demand and senior stakeholder's requirement.

Working as part of a team, the Project Officer will ensure a high level of collaborative team focused support and service to the project team and senior stakeholders.

This position is required to develop and maintain project management information system records, project reports, procedures and ensure high professional standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare high quality correspondence, briefs, project reports, project documentation, and supporting documents, agendas, minutes, presentations, and monitor and track operational tasks to support the achievement of project & business requirements to ensure all milestones are met.
  • Provide a professional and timely level of support to the project team and senior stakeholders by responding promptly to requests. Assess and prioritise requests to facilitate the optimal use of the time, provide exemplary customer service and collaborate with other staff in other government departments and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain communication channels efficiently and effectively, direct enquiries as appropriate and ensure the security and confidentiality of documentation and information.
  • Manage calendars, correspondence and workflow, and determine actions required; prioritise issues, referrals for action and follow up replies, schedule and support meetings and events to facilitate the effective management of their agenda.
  • Register documents in the project repository, ensuring that the content of entries is relevant, of high quality, accurate, and searchable to ensure the integrity of data and to support the efficient retrieval of information.
  • Actively participate as member of project team in order to contribute to the provision of a high quality and consistent service.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with project team members and other Service staff as required.
  • Assist with any other duties as required by the Project Manager, Senior Sydney Dental Stakeholders and ICT Directorate members.

Essential Requirements:


  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative, project coordination and support including a proven ability to operate efficiently in a challenging and highvolume environment ensuring confidentiality and discretion in issues management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high workload, establish work priorities, meet strict milestones and commitments in a demanding environment with competing and changing priorities, and maintain accuracy and attention.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and show initiative to problem solve and use sound judgment to respond, adapt and cope with changing priorities and demands in a multidisciplinary work environment
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organisation and task management skills with the ability to work independently and be effective team member.
  • Demonstrated high level (verbal and written) interpersonal and communication skills to liaise and foster positive relationships with a wide range of health professionals and staff at all levels (internal and external to the organisation).
  • Proven skills in organising and maintaining relevant documentation for meetings with experience in providing project and executive support to committees including demonstrated ability to draft correspondence and other documents for senior executive stakeholders or project members.
