The purpose of the Executive Manager is to lead the financial, customer and risk performance for the State SBB Team who are centrally located in the Brisbane CBD office.

The State Team Executive Manager leads a team of Business Bankers and one Team Manager Analyst, and is accountable for developing team skills and knowledge across all business customer needs and solutions, including credit origination processes for up to $1m.


As a senior leader within the Small Business extended leadership team, you will have a key role in contributing to the overall performance of Small Business.


More specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for the successful execution of Business Banking strategic initiatives within your team.
  • Develop a high performing and customer centric culture that delivers great customer experience and strong relationships.
  • Ensure your business bankers are recruited, retained and set up for success and to ensure high engagement across those team members
  • Deliver customer advocacy, financial performance and risk outcomes/performance for your area.
  • Develop strong partnerships with relevant internal business partners to develop and implement initiatives that support Small Business performance.
  • Proactively manage risk such as ensuring our data is high quality and we are meeting our compliance obligations such as AML/KYC

We want to hear from you if:

  • You have demonstrated leadership experience preferably within Business Banking
  • Commercial lending experience
  • Demonstrated performance in delivering strong financial and customer outcomes
  • Proven capability in developing a risk aware team culture and proactively managing financial & nonfinancial risk
  • Degree qualified in finance or business discipline strongly preferred
  • Post graduate qualification preferred
  • CAA and FRSA Tier 2 Accreditation-Sidekick
