About the Role


As a
Graduate HSEQ Coach, you would be creating, delivering, and updating HSEQ programs for employees that meets legislative requirements as well as company standards for safety in the workplace.

The ultimate purpose is to assist the business in providing a safe working environment.


This is a generalist role that is involved in all aspects of HSEQ including HSEQ Management, policy development, improvement strategies, training requirements, performance and change management.


  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in OHS
  • Auditing compliance against SIMPEC's integrated management (Including remote sites)
  • Assist in the maintaining and improvement of SIMPEC systems.
  • Assist in the review of statistics and provide input into improvement strategies.
  • Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations
  • Conduct in Inductions and other HSEQ related training.
  • Creating HSEQ plans to meet SIMPEC and contract requirements.
  • Create HSEQ documentation in line business needs.
  • Compile month HSEQ reports
  • Support Project based HSE Coaches where required, which remote locations and regular travel.
  • Sharing information, suggestions, and observations with project leadership to create consistency in safety standards throughout the operational team and the business unit.
  • Be the champion for SIMPEC's Health and Safety Representatives
  • Investigating causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site and/or office
  • Engage at all levels of the business to ensure behaviours are consistent with SIMPEC's values and goals.
Not required but highly regarded

  • Incident investigation methodology (e.g., ICAM or Taproot)
  • Training and Assessing (TAE40116)
  • Injury management experience and/or qualifications
  • Auditing qualifications (e.g., Lead Auditor)
