About Cherry Creek Primary Health Service:

Barwon Health is partnering with the Department of Justice and Community Safety to provide the health care service at Cherry Creek Youth Justice Centre.

Cherry Creek is a 140 bed Youth Justice Facility to the west of Werribee in the vicinity of Cherry Creek that accommodates males between 15-18 years of age, both sentenced and on remand.


The primary health services delivered will include primary health and primary mental health services with a multidisciplinary team of paediatricians, general nurses, mental health nurses, aboriginal health, pharmacy, allied health services, dental services, and drug and alcohol services, There is a 24/7 nursing coverage on-site.

The health services will primarily operate from a state of the art purpose built health facility.

About the role
The Health Service Manager will be a highly experienced nurse who will provide leadership in the planning and service delivery at Barwon Health's primary health service located at Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct, including:

  • Evidence based health care
  • Operational Leadership
  • Coordination with a number of Barwon Health and Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) programs to ensure high quality, timely and efficient service delivery to the young people at the precinct.
