Key Purpose of Role:

Ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business

operations and customer demand.


Areas of Responsibility:

Operational Controls

  • Receive delivery of goods and supplies.
  • Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt.
  • Store received goods in the appropriate locations within the warehouse.
  • Pick and pack orders for dispatch.
  • Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift vehicle.
  • Load goods for dispatch.
  • Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards.
  • Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised ERP and all other business systems.
  • Keep careful records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse including within the ERP system.
  • Carry out stock counts as and when required.
  • Maintain accuracy with paperwork and ERP records.
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.
  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety
of others.

  • Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner.
  • Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value.

  • Participate in procedures to meet quality and environmental Standards.
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures for the general wellbeing of the workplace.
  • Support or participate in committees such as OHS&E.
  • Undertake training, multiskilling and participate in job rotation where possible.

  • Understand and participate in the improvement of processes and procedures so they are accurate and effective.

  • Manage Energy Better: Consciously drive for continuous improvement in reusing, recycling or reducing waste.
  • Maintain awareness of identified and potential health and safety, quality and environmental aspects within the
workplace and their impact, including the reporting of any accidents/incidents/near misses or hazards.

  • Act responsibly to meet the objectives/requirements at the appropriate level as described in the Health, Safety and Integrated Management Systems.

Key Metrics

  • Safe Work Practice compliance.
  • Unpacking and packing of parts and product to instructions.
  • Stock movement and storage accuracy physical material movements, location storage and system accuracy.
  • Customer satisfaction.
