About the role
We are seeking a values-driven Thrift Shop Assistant who will provide assistance to the Thrift Shop Manager and Assistant Thrift Shop Manager,
ensure maximisation of sales and productivity and Coordinate and supervise volunteers (when required).
You will successfully
- Maximise sales and revenue through processing of donations to the store by receiving, sorting, pricing, hanging of saleable goods and disposal of nonsaleable goods
- Deliver excellence in customer service by responding to customer needs, and actively seeking opportunities to connect customers to TSA mission
- Ensure that that the shops operate efficiently and effectively in the absence of the managers
- Supervise volunteers in the absence of the Assistant Manger
- Provide supervisory assistance to the Assistant Manager and Shop Manager
- Monitor shop for security purposes
- Store budgets achieved weekly
- Assist Thrift Shop Manager with reporting and administration duties (when required)
- POS is used in accordance with policies
You will have
- Relevant Retail experience
- Experience in supervision (highly desirable)
- Qualifications in retail management (highly desirable)
- A National Police Record Check is required.
- Physical ability to safely sit, stand, walk regularly and for long periods of time
- Physical ability to push, pull, lift, carry items up to 10 kilos in weight.
- Physical ability to climb ladders.
