The Opportunity:


AIA Australia is undergoing a large-scale digital transformation together with several major technology initiatives to address the dynamics of the market.

As part of the transformation, there is increased attention from various internal and external auditors, regulators and corporate customers on AIA Australia technology control assurances through audit engagements, enquiries and attestations.

Due to the volume and complexity of the engagements, the Manager Regulatory, Audit & Engagement will support these activities together with driving the uplift of the engagement framework.


The primary responsibility of this role will be managing the engagements with regulators, internal audit, external audit and corporate customers in ensuring the timeliness and quality of collection, consolidation and provision of the technology control artifacts on corresponding engagements.


Additionally, the role is also responsible driving the efficient and effective governance of engagement execution, issue management, coordination and escalation, and audit observation / remediation follow up.

Ultimately, the success of this role will be in driving a healthy, efficient, effective and repeatable audit and regulatory engagement framework for AIA Australia's technology business unit.


  • Managing the portfolio of audit, regulatory and corporate customer engagements for technology control assurance
  • Providing visibility of pipeline, scope and depth of regulatory, audit, and corporate customer engagements and estimating the efforts required within Technology Control & Governance and across Technology teams
  • Working with different stakeholders in mapping the engagement requirements within AIA's technology control framework in order to effectively gather the information as requested
  • Working with the corresponding technology and nontechnology leaders in consolidating draft responses to requests for information, audit findings and recommendations
  • Maintaining knowledge of regulatory, audit and corporate customer engagements to ensure accurate, verifiable and consistent information is provided
  • Timely escalation of audit and regulatory actions that are at risk of being overdue
To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Significant experience in technology control and risk management, technology audit, technology compliance function
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain an efficient, effective and repeatable audit and regulatory engagement framework including knowledge retention and record management
  • Possess at least one information security / technology audit certifications such as CISA, CIA, CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Auditor, etc.
  • Strong awareness of Australian regulatory requirements including APRA CPS 234, CPS 220, ACSC Essential Eight, SoCI Act, Privacy Act, ISM, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of international best practices of information security controls framework / standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, PCI-DSS, NIST CSP
  • Thorough understanding of endtoend process on audit and regulatory engagements
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills with the ability to interact and build strong working relationships with stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds
