General Description of the Role


The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supporting and delivering all Maintenance & Engineering activities within the Derrimut Production Facility, ensuring the KPI indicators are met as it relates to preventative maintenance, breakdowns, spare parts, facilities, CAPEX and Capital Projects.


Key Responsibilities and Activities
The core responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor include but are not limited to:

  • Driving compliance to SHEQ requirements of the facility and leading a safe work culture
  • Supervise all work systems in order to propose improvements to maximise work productivity
  • Recommend and implement maintenance plans and capital additions within budgetary guidelines
  • Support the scoping & purchase of capital equipment acquisitions
  • Coordinate maintenance support rostering and ensure workload trends are maintained within budgets
  • Effectively communicate with all departments on a technical level
  • Ensure plans and specifications are produced within time frames
  • Develop and implement appropriate preventative maintenance strategy aligned to Campari Global strategy and World Class Manufacturing
  • Provide and maintain systems of work, and working environments that are safe
  • Provide input to performance standards for your team and KPIs for all direct reports
  • Coach staff within your team and key operators
  • Promote effective communication amongst our employees, suppliers and the management team
  • Liaise with relevant industry bodies as required
  • Adhering to the QHSE Requirements of the facility
  • The role is part of the Derrimut Frontline Leadership Team and provides input and support to long term goals relating to site strategy and culture

Experience Required

  • At least 5 + years' experience within a similar role
  • Previous experience in the beverage industry or a food manufacturing environment. Track record of consistently meeting/exceeding objectives both personally and within a Maintenance environment
  • Exposure to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Have implemented or worked with Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems (PPM)
  • Ability to build strong business partnerships both outside, and within the organization in particular the production/operations team
  • Dedicated to driving a positive culture
  • Highly professional persona
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills; effective at delivering presentations to an audience that may include executive level

Education / Professional Qualifications

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade Qualifications or demonstrated equivalen experience
  • Demonstration that Continued Professional Development has been undertaken
