About the role
This key role is aligned to the delivery of allied health assistant interventions as part of an acute bed based Physiotherapy service
You will be responsible in assisting physiotherapists with their acute bed based patients in the provision of best practice patient care as well as non-clinical duties that support the efficient operation of a busy service environment.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is required (academic transcript of completion required) if applicable
Previous experience working as an Allied Health Assistant or equivalent essential
Experience within an acute bed based hospital stream is desirable
Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication both written and oral
A strong commitment to high quality care
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Excellent time management and organisational skills

Selection Criteria
Essential:
Completion of Certificate 4 (Allied Health Assistant) from a registered training organisation including training modules in Physiotherapy
Essential:
Experience as an AHA, either employed or as a student, or Allied Health Professional student working in a healthcare setting
Essential:
Australian citizen or current Australian working visa
Essential:
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to enable liaison with the multidisciplinary team including effective clinical handover
Essential:
Completion of training modules as an AHA in Physiotherapy or currently undertaking of same for Allied Health Professional students
