About the Opportunity


The Service Management Officer is responsible for delivering a range of responsive and timely service management and support functions for Technology Services.

The position is required to have a sound knowledge of ICT services disciplines and support functions and plays a significant role in coordinating and managing a number of core service management processes within the Service Delivery team and delivering and maintaining robust knowledge management practices.


The Service Management Officer manages Technology's change management functions, including providing executive functions for the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, and plays a key role in managing Technology Services Major Incident Management processes as required.

The Service Management Officer establishes, develops, reviews and maintains operational processes and reference relating to the core Service Management and broader ITSM processes actively used by Technology Services.


About the Business


The Technology Services Business Unit is responsible for helping to meet a wide range of IT needs throughout the department by providing expertise and services in ICT Service Desk and Desktop Support, Infrastructure Management and Technical Support, ICT Contract Management and Procurement, ICT Security and Policy, IT Asset Management, software licensing and compliance, ICT Change Management that assist in meeting the overall AGD objectives.


Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested.
